Naked Option

Also known as: uncovered option

A naked (uncovered) option is sold without owning the underlying or a hedging position. Selling naked calls carries theoretically unlimited risk; naked puts risk a large loss if the stock collapses. High premium income, but dangerous without strict risk control.
