Retirement Corpus

A retirement corpus is the lump sum you need to fund your post-work life. You estimate it from your future (inflated) annual expenses, multiplied to last decades (commonly ~25× annual expenses). Inflation and longevity make the number bigger than people expect — which is why starting early and saving a lot are decisive.
