Price Band

Also known as: ipo price band, cut-off price

In an IPO, the price band is the range (e.g. ₹315-332) within which investors bid; the final issue price is discovered inside it, and most retail applications simply bid at the top (cut-off). In daily trading, a price band is the same idea as a circuit limit — the percentage range a stock may move in a session. Context tells you which meaning applies.
