FII & DII Flows
Also known as: fii, dii, fii dii flows, institutional flows
FIIs (Foreign Institutional Investors) and DIIs (Domestic Institutional Investors — Indian mutual funds, insurers) are the large money pools whose buying and selling move the Indian market far more than retail. FIIs are global-factor-driven and fast-moving; DIIs (SIP-funded) often act counter-cyclically. The *net* flow often explains the day’s move.
