Fear and greed are the primal emotions driving most market behaviour — and they’re perfectly mistimed. Greed peaks at tops (when risk is highest), fear peaks at bottoms (when opportunity is greatest), pushing people to buy high and sell low. Recognising them as warning signals and following pre-set rules is the defence.
